Izzy on Day Six

BEAUTIFUL Saturday! And Izzy had a super busy day!

It started with a walk in Prospect Park, then a walk up to McCarren Park to check out the regenade craft fair. Izzy was a trooper on such a warm day. She got a few pieces of chicken treats on her walk, plus lots of attention at the fair.

Interestingly, she was not at all interested in liver and vegetables. Maybe it was the heat, but after not eating her breakfast, and not interested in her dinner, I fixed her up chicken ScooterFood with dry, which she gobbled up.

We both were out at like 9pm. and had a great sleep.

Izzy on Day Five

Beef hearts and beets day!

What a rainy day? Short walks and getting toweled dried. Izzy favorite!

So her breakfast was 1/2 pound beef hearts and beets and 2/3 cup dry. She gobbled it up except for the one piece of beef heart that kept appearing on different places on my rug. I kept returning it to her bowl, until I finally stepped on it. UGH!

She was feisty all day! She did get a couple chicken treats and a small chew. And ate her dinner of the same.

Izzy on Day Four

6.04.09 was chicken day, Izzy's favorite. Could she eat it faster or messier?

Same quantity for breakfast and dinner (1/2 pound chicken with 2/3 cup dry). She loved it.

She was obstinate on the morning walk. Did not matter how hard it was raining, she wanted to get to the park. Luckily running into Mr. Smith distracted her.

She had an enormous poo in the morning and a small one in the evening. Still soft, but not terrible. Lisa said it was super stinky.

She is very interested in what treats she can find on the streets these days. I think there is more food on the street due to the warmer weather.

Izzy on Day Three

Day 3 - beef heart and beets.

So Izzy is definitely not a fan of beets, but loves the beef hearts.  She ate half a pound this morning with 2/3 cup dry and the other half this evening with the same dry.  I cannot tell if she is hungry or not because she does not beg for food.

She is definitely more playful.  She wanted to play this morning and again this evening.  It is adorable.  As I type this, she is laying on the floor with her rabbit.

She had 1 enormous poop this morning and only 2 blocks from home, which is unusual.  She usually waits for the park.  (But she did not poo last night, so that is probably why.)

P.S. Found some beets on my carpet -- Persian, so difficult to see! Luckily I didn't step in them.

Izzy on Day Two

Today was Liver with Veggies and quinoa. Izzy did not eat her breakfast of 1/2 pound liver with 2/3 cup dry when I left for work. It was gone when I got home though and she did scarf up the remainder of the pound with 1/2 cup dry.

No poop at the park tonight but she did go twice this morning. Second one was liquidy.

She did spit out the tomatoes, which might be somewhere on my carpet and I can't see them yet. Ugh!

Izzy on Day One

Breakfast -- 1 cup of dry food with half a pound of chicken and vegetables.

Izzy spit some of the dry food out, but made sure she got every bit of the ScooterFood.

Snack -- 1 and 1/4 ScooterSnack at the park. YUMMY! and she had 2 pieces of dried chicken treats. NO rawhides!

She is happy and peppy!

Who is Izzy

Izzy is a beautiful, sassy mixed breed. She will be 7 this month (her birthday is coming up!). She loves boys, pugs and laying in water.

Her specialty maneuver is the Izzy Butt Roundhouse which she bestows on the boys she particularly likes.

Izzy has just one problem -- she's a bit overweight. So, before the extra weight starts to give her joints problems, Izzy is switching to a new home-cooked food called ScooterFood.

It's a little experiment. Let's see if she will lose weight on this fresh, natural, dog food, without going hungry or resorting to "prescription" foods.
